Greater Washington:

CONNECT-A-RIDE is a transportation resource center for seniors in the Greater Washington region sponsored by the Jewish Council for the Aging. The program collects and disseminates information about the cost, eligibility requirements, and availability of public and private transportation services. Whenever possible, it links older adults to the rides they need. The program also helps organizations to design responsive senior transportation services. Metro Access is the name of the ADA paratransit service for the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. MetroAccess is sponsored by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), local governments, and the other local fixed-route transit systems in the metropolitan area. Only riders who meet the criteria specified by the ADA and who have been certified as eligible can use MetroAccess. Persons do not qualify automatically just because they have a disability or on the basis of age. Eligibility is based on a person's functional limitations. Charles County, MD:

VanGO Public Transit is administered by the Charles County Department of Community Services, Transportation Division. VanGO is a countywide transportation system that offers public transportation routes that operate on fixed schedules and more specialized transportation services for those persons unable to utilize the public transportation system. Call 301-934-9305 or 301-870-3388 for more information and schedules.

St. Mary's County, MD:

St. Mary's Transit System (STS) provides transportation in the county. In addition, the St. Mary’s County Health Department and STS coordinate services to include the Medical Assistance Transportation program, which enables clients to use public transportation for their medical appointments. Prince George's County, MD:

Call-A-Bus is a demand response curb-to-curb service in Prince George's County. Service is available to all residents of Prince George’s County who are not served by or cannot use existing bus or rail services. However, priority is given to senior and disabled persons. Reservations can be made up to fourteen (14) days in advance by calling 301-499-8603 between 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (excluding County holidays). Hours of service are 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday (excluding County holidays). For more information, please call (301) 499-8603.

Montgomery County, MD:

Call 'N' Ride program provides subsidized taxi trips for low-income persons with disabilities and seniors. To be eligible for the Call 'N' Ride Program, you must be low income, at least 67 years of age or disabled.
