Transporation Program: St. Philip's Senior Van

This nine passenger, handicapped accessible bus went into service on November 18, 1996 and serves Southern Prince George's County and parts of Charles County, Maryland. Its home base is St. Philip's Church in Baden, Maryland. The Senior Van is used to take area residents to medical appointments five days a week. The St. Phillip's Van has also been used to take seniors to recreational activities, shopping, and special events.

A new bus began services in October 2001. The bus was provided by the Maryland Department of Transportation/Mass Transit Administration with the local match provided by Episcopal Senior Ministries.

St. Philip's Transportation Program is coordinated with Greater Baden Medical Services and supervised by the Van Advisory Council made up of representatives from St. Philip's Church and other area churches and organizations. This service is a valuable asset to rural Southern Prince George's County and parts of Charles County.
